As it is a part of our Duty of Care, all new players are required to be inducted via this event type.
This ensures that all players are aware of our standards of dress, personal conduct, game rules, safe use of all equipment use and are aware of any of the known hazards on site to avoid.
Afterwards, players may opt-in to be recognised as LRCS Members.
The main battle weapons issued are the AR-30 or the Mini-R laser taggers.
The weapon settings are standard, meaning that advanced features such as extra magazines, sub-weapons, heavier armour and silencers are disabled.
Don't let the title fool you; our standard weapons are modeled off of their real world counterparts; 30 round magazines, 850 rounds per minute, single, burst and full auto fire, realistic weight and size.
The types of missions we run at these events are designed to be short enough for players to learn from and make changes, allowing time to focus on:
• Individual Soldier Skills; Moving between hard cover, Firing on and Suppressing enemy positions.
• Teamwork; Identifying the enemy, Capturing objectives, Advancing or Falling back under fire.
• Leadership inc; Command, Coordination and Communication.
By making the mission objectives straight-forward, players can focus on the equipment use, strategies and the combat action without being too overwhelmed.
As the event continues, the mission scenarios are reversed - becoming more difficult, as the players hone their personal skills and the team cohesion increases; offering all participants an ever-increasing challenge. At the end of the event, all players have been given the chance to make a difference individually and as a team to the result.

Special Ops is designed to pressure participants to utilise their equipment and trust in their team to higher levels.
The event is punctuated with several short-timed missions, where participants:
• Have only 1 "life" - if KIA they wait until the next mission
• Have no extra supplies of ammo or armour available
• Are placed in varying team sizes for the scenarios
• Are forced to go on the offense and clear enemy held ground
• Are working against the clock to complete the mission
Each corner you encounter is likely to be covered by enemy fire, you must move from area to area quickly but carefully to avoid going too far and being cut off by enemy fire from your team.
The battle tactics and focus become very close-in, as your team takes each building, wall and open area cautiously.
Each area can present a slim opportunity to move through unscathed - or possibly be the end of your entire team!
The mission is tough, and so are the tools! We issue your team upgraded and heavy weapons to deal with the imminent threat.
Your team may be issued with extra magazines, sub-weapons, heavier armour and or silencers
-or perhaps the upgrades will only be issued to the enemy forces!

Spec Ops mission scenarios are short and fast, which may include;
• Escorting an unarmed participant through enemy territory
• Clearing out an enemy held area, building by building
• Holding off an almost endless wave of assaulting enemy
• Preventing a WMD from reaching its destination
• Hunting down a heavily armed and armoured enemy behind enemy lines
• Securing a building and preventing the enemy infiltrating and acquiring your intel items.

Hardwar is conducted on a large bush field and the in-game action runs for over 1 hour!
With straight forward missions and few twists, participants will enjoy the challenging team-based combat experience.
Hardwar is a proficient level event, suitable for mature and experienced LRCS members.
Weapon load-outs are front-line issue with a few small exceptions depending on the scenarios.
Heavy weapons will enjoy the added supressive fire power capabilities, as will the assault and scout team with their extra sub-weapon ammunition.
We encourage team progression for all players:
• New players will be put in a major force so they can quickly learn the skills required.
• Novice members are typically advanced to a minor but well-armed, hit-and-run style force.
• Experienced members are usually placed in 2-up splinter cell teams, with limited firepower and tasked to harass, disrupt or eliminate specific targets in the other teams.
Get out with your mates and enjoy the rush of taking your enemy down!
We provide help and advice to support each player and to encourage your team to dominate the battlefield.

• Long Scenario, multiple teams (2-3up buddy system)

Due to practical game-play and safety restrictions, all participants must;
• Be current LRCS members
• Have shown competency with our equipment
• Have shown mature attitude and conduct at all times
• Have previously attended the field on a day-light event.
This ensures that there is minimal interruption during the event, allowing participants to enjoy the immersion by reducing administrative assistance.
Low Light Operations are conducted under moon-light and or artificial lighting on site.
Urban setting or bushland offer very different participant experiences and challenges;
• Urban areas have superior hard-cover to fire around and stop incoming fire, but the routes are more predictable.
• Bushlands offer much less cover from fire, but allows greater freedom of movement and better concealment of your firing position.
The lowered light adds to the excitement, allowing greater freedom to disappear into the shadows and stalk your enemy. Some of the skills utilised during low light include;
• Non verbal communication
• Coordinated and timed responses with your team
• Maintaining good sound discipline
• Knowing when to hold your fire
• Knowing when to advance rapidly towards your enemy and when to pretend to be a log.
Some of the greatest and most challenging thrills of Low Light Operations are;
• Having your enemy walk right by/over your position unawares.
• Creeping closer to the enemy position, being careful not make a sound so you can gain intel.
• 'Attaching' yourself to the end of returning enemy patrol for a free escort to their main base!
• Opening up on the enemy in a location, direction and distance they least expected it!
• Playing hit-and-run in the cover of darkness, harassing the enemy position!

Hardwar Tactics is conducted on 200 acres and the in-game action runs for over 4 hours!
With dynamic sub-missions and twists, our participants will get the most immersive and challenging combat experience.
Hardwar Tactics is our most advanced event, suitable only for experienced and or mature LRCS members.
Weapon load-outs are typically beefed up to allow for the numerous engagements during the course of the missions without exhausting your ammo supply.
Heavy weapons will enjoy the added suppressive fire power capabilities, as will the assault and scout team with their extra sub-weapon ammunition.
Firepower alone won't win this war, you are going to need some serious tactics!
We encourage team progression for all players:
• Novice members are typically advanced to a minor but well-armed, hit-and-run style force.
• Experienced members are usually placed in 2-up splinter cell teams, with limited firepower and tasked to harass, disrupt or eliminate specific targets in the other teams.
We include a variety of props to enhance the simulation, including objectives, technology, intel and hardware to acquire.
The extended duration, the challenging environment, the team pressures and mission demands are what add value to the end-game satisfaction.
Without the challenges, struggles and trials along the way; victory is not as sweet - nor is it fitting.
